September 26, 2008. I had another surprise today when Stephen Payne asked me if I would go with him as escort to collect a special vehicle. Off we went to Coolagown.
To say I was surprised was to put it mildly as it turned out to be another combine, this time a 1980 massive Deutz Fahr M 1102. Stephen has combines on the brain! If he keeps this up we will have to rename the museum the Kells Combine Museum!
She is an absolutely fabulous addition to the collection and arrived safely in the depot driven all the way by Stephen. Our museum is really expanding. We really have to hand it to Stephen for sourcing such a fabulous machine. Now, does anyone know anything about these machines. Perhaps our Clayson friend in the UK can help.
The following are her details:
Registration Number: 603 JZL
Chassis Make: Deutz Fahr
Body Make : Deutz Fahr
Body Model: M1102
Engine: Deutz 6 cylinder air cooled
HP: 100 HP @ 2650 RPM
Date service entry: 1980
