September 5, 2004. We have come across this strange machine and would be grateful if anyone can fill us in on its history.

Apparently Leyland were experimenting with the idea of a rear engine Leopard and built one or two prototypes. This was one of them. No more were built as instead they developed the standard Tiger.

We think this machine started with a 680 engine but currently it has either an L11 or a TL 11 engine. We hope to start it next week and drive it to the depot. Should be interesting as it has apparently sat for some years.

Front View!

Seats are excellent.

Drivers Cab. Not Leopard. Not Tiger!

Engine Compartment. We could not get farther away to get a complete photo.
